HarperCollins Children’s Books has announced the release of The Seven Secrets, an inspiring and accessible new book narrated by cricket legend MS Dhoni, written by David Reid, and illustrated by Shane McGrath. Aimed at young readers, the book explores seven core ‘mental truths’ that Dhoni credits for his legendary composure both on and off the field.

The book is now available as a free download at www.sevensecrets.in, underscoring the team’s commitment to making mental resilience tools widely available to children from all backgrounds.

David Reid, a long-time Mental Performance Coach in India and currently with Chennai Super Kings, drew on his extensive experience with young cricketers to co-develop the project. “We saw kids putting immense pressure on themselves to perform. HarperCollins India CEO Ananth Padmanabhan called the project a “dream come true,” saying, “MS Dhoni is one of the most admired leaders in sports history. To bring his life lessons to children in such a simple and effective format is deeply meaningful to us.”

Tina Narang, Executive Publisher at HarperCollins, said, “The Seven Secrets distills Dhoni’s mindset into golden advice that benefits readers of all ages. Making it freely accessible reflects both Dhoni and David’s vision of reaching every child who needs it.”

The book has already garnered glowing early reviews from cricket stars and coaches.
