What would happen if three of the world’s wisest teachers sat down for coffee and talked about the stresses of modern life? A new book by Jana Capri and Charan Díaz dares to imagine exactly that — and in doing so, offers readers a roadmap to calmer, more conscious living.

Billed as “a clear and practical guide to navigate the complexities of modern life with the ideas of Krishna, Buddha and Lao Tzu,” the book is an inspired blend of timeless philosophy and contemporary self-help. Capri and Díaz bridge time and space to bring these sages into dialogue, drawing faithfully from their original teachings to show how relevant their wisdom remains today.
Each chapter presents a theme — from relationships and work to inner peace and purpose — followed by reflective questions and space for note-taking, encouraging readers to apply the ideas to their own lives. “It’s like sitting at the table with Krishna, Buddha and Lao Tzu,” says Capri. “You’re not just reading about them; you’re hearing them speak to you.”

Both authors bring deep personal experience to the project. Jana Capri, a Barcelona-based writer and Master Practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic Programming, has a background in translation, psychosomatics and creative writing. She is known for books and blogs that inspire self-improvement and emotional well-being.
Her co-author, Charan Díaz Arquillo, is a seasoned psychologist with more than twenty years’ experience in psychotherapy, personal growth and educational psychology. Holding a master’s degree in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy along with certifications in Mindfulness and Clinical Hypnosis from the University of Barcelona, Díaz has a long-standing passion for Hindu and Greek philosophy as well as oriental tales and mythology.

Together, they’ve crafted a book that is both imaginative and practical — a kind of “meeting of minds” across centuries designed to help readers make sense of the turbulence of modern life.
