Bestselling fantasy author Sarah J. Maas has announced the next two instalments in her hugely popular A Court of Thorns and Roses (ACOTAR) series. The news was revealed during her appearance on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast.
The sixth book in the series is scheduled for global release on 27 October 2026, with the seventh instalment following on 12 January 2027. Both titles will be published by Bloomsbury.
The upcoming sixth book will see Maas return once again to the magical world of Prythian, promising readers another story filled with romance, danger and intrigue. The seventh book will continue the saga, carrying forward the fantasy universe that has captivated millions of readers around the world.
The A Court of Thorns and Roses series has become one of the most successful fantasy franchises of the past decade. The books combine romance, high fantasy and political intrigue, drawing a vast global fanbase and dominating bestseller lists.
Maas is also the author of two other widely celebrated fantasy series — Throne of Glass and Crescent City. The Throne of Glass series begins with The Assassin’s Blade and Throne of Glass, while the Crescent City series starts with House of Earth and Blood.
Across all three series, Maas’s books have sold more than 75 million copies worldwide and have been translated into over 40 languages, cementing her position as one of the most influential voices in modern fantasy fiction.
